The contract pertains to NSL Sugars’ Jay Mahesh Unit, located in Mazalgaon, District Beed, Maharashtra, where MEDAS will serve as the technology, engineering, and equipment partner for their state-of-the-art distillery project. The new facility, based on MEDAS’s cutting-edge design, will operate on multiple feedstocks including sugarcane syrup and grains, to produce fuel-grade ethanol as part of the Government of India’s National Biofuel Policy. The distillery will utilize low-pressure distillation system, resulting in higher power generation, along with an energy-efficient evaporation system that uses sugar and dryer vapors for process. This integrated approach ensures minimal energy consumption and maximum output.
