SEOUL, South Korea, Aug. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Osstem Implants, the No. 1 global dental implant sales company, made an important announcement for standardization of implant treatment.
Osstem Implant announced that it drew “guidelines for the prevention of implant fracture and peri-Implantitis” from the “Global Consensus Meeting” organized by the Osstem Implant Training Center (OIC) and listed it in the MDPI international journal “Prosthesis” on June 16.

Key to the Guidelines: Prevention of Implant Fracture and Peri-Implantitis
The guidelines released this time provide standardized prosthetic guidelines for preventing Implant Fracture and Peri-Implantitis during dental implant procedures. Prosthetic experts from each country, including Korea, Japan, Italy, Chile, and Türkiye, have carefully reviewed a total of 376 papers and established these guidelines.
The main recommendations include selecting the exact implant location, securing the thickness of the bone around the implant, and selecting the appropriate implant diameter. It also includes that the maximum 2 mm intracranial placement is recommended for implant placement, and that the vertical position needs to be adjusted according to the condition of the soft tissue.
Reflecting the voices of the dental community that there is a need for clinical guides available around the world, the results are meaningful in that they provide practical and specific guidelines for preventing implant-related problems that may occur in the global dental community by reaching consensus from experts based on scientific and clinical grounds.

Osstem Implant Leads Global Dentistry Education
Under the management ideology of “contributing to the improvement of human health by helping dentists with good medical treatment,” Osstem Implant is carrying out a variety of activities, including domestic and international academic events and education, for the development of global dentistry.
Since 2017, the ‘Consensus Meeting’ has been held in Korea, and since 2023, it has been continuing to standardize dentistry with dental experts around the world through the ‘Global Consensus Meeting’ every year. The committee consisting of three divisions, Surgery, Prosthodontic, and Digital, plays a leading role in global dental research.
Meanwhile, Osstem Implant has been conducting education for dentists around the world by developing various educational curriculums and textbooks to foster implant clinical experts. Master Course, Osstem’s flagship curriculum and clinical education program, which has been launched since 2006, has more than 10,000 dentists in India who completed the curriculum by last year, and is approaching 130,000 worldwide.
