Visit Las Vegas and ComplexCon Unveil Custom Daniel Arsham Sculpture Inspired by the Iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

The Strip’s iconic sign inspires bold new work by ComplexCon Global Artistic Director Daniel Arsham, to be permanently displayed at the Las Vegas Convention Center 

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 24, 2025) – Visit Las Vegas and ComplexCon today unveiled a permanent art installation from acclaimed contemporary artist Daniel Arsham at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) inspired by the legendary “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. 

Created by ComplexCon’s Global Artistic Director Daniel Arsham, the sculpture fuses Arsham’s signature “relic” aesthetic with the city’s enduring spirit of transformation and possibility. Conceived and commissioned by ComplexCon, the work serves as a creative tribute to Las Vegas and centerpiece of ComplexCon Las Vegas, taking place at the LVCC Oct. 26–27, 2025. The piece captures the spirit of transformation and creative energy that defines both the event and the city it honors. 

“It’s great to be able to create a sculpture based on something so iconic as the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign,” mentioned Arsham.  

Known for transforming familiar icons into imagined “future relics,” Arsham, whose past collaborations include global brands such as Porsche, Dior, Tiffany & Co., and Pokémon, reinterprets the world-famous Las Vegas sign with an oxidized bronze finish that merges nostalgia with futurism. The piece reimagines the symbol not only as a marker of place, but as a monument to memory, reinvention, and the ever-evolving energy of Las Vegas itself.

Following its debut, the sculpture will remain a permanent fixture on the LVCC campus, serving as a lasting symbol of Las Vegas’s evolution, artistry, and global influence.
