Liberty General Insurance Organises Free Parking Initiative in Delhi to Raise Awareness on Insurance Protection

NEW DELHI, May 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Reinforcing its commitment to the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India’s (IRDAI) vision of ‘Insurance for All by 2047’, Liberty General Insurance has launched a unique community-driven awareness activity in the capital city. Under the banner of its flagship campaign, ‘Bharose Ka Vaada, Bima Ke Saath, the initiative offers free parking across key public locations in Delhi while sensitizing citizens about the importance of insurance in their daily lives.

The initiative has kicked off from May 26, 2025, starting with Lajpat Nagar and will cover Okhla Metro Station and Nehru Place in subsequent phases. Each location will host the campaign for five days, engaging commuters, residents, and passersby. Liberty has set up dedicated kiosks at these sites, staffed with trained representatives who will interact with the public, distribute informative one-pagers, and offer clarity on different forms of insurance—be it motor (car and two-wheeler), health, home, or personal accident. This effort is designed not only to inform but also to simplify insurance for people who may not be fully aware of how it works or why it matters.

The initiative is part of the broader State Insurance Plan, where Liberty General Insurance has been appointed as the lead non-life insurer for Delhi. As part of this role, Liberty is expected to spearhead meaningful outreach and drive insurance penetration through initiatives that are high on impact, simplicity, and local relevance.

Speaking on the campaign, Mr. Anurag Rampal, Senior Vice President & National Head-CDT, Renewals, Marketing & Communications, Liberty General Insurance, said, “Insurance isn’t a product that should be sold only at counters or online portals—it should be understood, valued, and consciously opted for. That’s exactly what we’re trying to achieve through this initiative. ‘Bharose Ka Vaada, Bima Ke Saath‘ is our way of saying that insurance is not just a financial contract; it is a promise of support, a safety net in times of crisis. By bringing these conversations to people’s everyday environments, we are breaking barriers of hesitation and building real, lasting trust.”

Liberty’s initiative is a step towards transforming how insurance is perceived—moving it from a mere transactional necessity to a proactive lifestyle choice. Over the coming months, the company plans to scale similar on-ground activations in other urban and semi-urban centers to deepen public understanding and take insurance awareness beyond traditional boundaries.
