14 November 2025 – The Olympic Truce resolution will be introduced to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York on 19 November 2025 at 10 a.m. ET.

Dating back to the ancient Olympic Games in Olympia in 776 BC, the Olympic Truce aims to ensure a halt to hostilities, allowing the safe passage and participation of athletes and spectators for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The IOC revived the Olympic Truce in 1992, and it is now introduced before every edition of the Games.
