BAZHONG, China–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The 22nd Sichuan Guangwu Mountain International Red Leaf Festival has recently launched, themed “I Send You Red Leaves,” extending a heartfelt invitation to visitors from around the globe. Starting from September 27, pre-event activities have simultaneously kicked off in major cities across China, including Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, as well as in Times Square in New York and the Oriental Center in Paris, marking the official start of global promotional efforts.
The Guangwu Mountain scenic area, located in the Nanjian County of Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, boasts over 40 varieties of red leaves, including liquidambar, maple, and linden, spread across nearly a thousand square kilometers of mountains, earning it the title of “Asia’s Longest Natural Red Carpet.”
During the festival, Bazhong City has specially planned an initiative to send red leaf letters worldwide. Each piece of red leaf from Guangwu Mountain, accompanied by heartfelt letters filled with blessings for the recipient and hopes for the future of their hometown, will traverse mountains and rivers to reach tourists and Bazhong natives around the globe.
The global promotional campaign “I Send You Red Leaves” creatively employs dedicated “Red Leaf Express Vehicles” to deliver invitations. Streets in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu will feature these poetically adorned delivery vehicles, ensuring invitations are accurately delivered while attracting numerous onlookers.
This year’s festival has meticulously arranged a series of vibrant experiential activities. Events such as the “Exploring Guangwu Mountain” international red leaf scientific expedition, the “Flying Over Bashan, Viewing Hongchuan” low-altitude flight experience, and the Red Leaf Starry Sky Music Concert will showcase the grandeur and mystery of Guangwu Mountain to global visitors.
